BlackSite Area 51 is a first-person shooter for Windows. The game deals with the Area 51 research site. Of course, that area has not been proved to exist, but Midway has made a living of using it for their games. With BlackSite Area 51, the game becomes more intriguing, I guess. The game starts with your character looking for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. Then, he is sent to the US to fight a rebellion near Area 51, when he encounters Aliens. From that moment on, you shoot one Alien after the other. I found it annoying that nothing was said about the plot or where the aliens came from or anything during the first few missions. Apparently, you will have to play to the end to see that. The graphics are stunning most of the game. I noticed some glitches when there were a lot of elements on screen, but maybe it was my computer. Being a first-person shooter, you can expect the game to feature fast-paced action and lots of bullets and weapons. A lot is missing in terms of gameplay. There is absolutely no cover system and you can't shoot through surfaces. Still, if you like Aliens you could probably get a kick out of playing this. |
